Blues Full Strength For United
Clean bill of health for Monday's Premier League opener.
David Moyes has a fully fit squad for Monday night’s Premier League opener against Manchester United.
There had been doubts over Marouane Fellaini (groin) and Darron Gibson (thigh), but Moyes believes both players will be ready for the big kick-off.
He said: “I think we're pretty good. We had a few worries in pre-season, Marouane Fellaini's had an injury, Phil Jagielka's had a bit of an injury. So we've had to manage them but I would expect them all to be ok.”
That means Steven Naismith could be in line for his Everton debut, while incredibly Steven Pienaar could be set for his fourth Blues bow.
The South African made his second permanent move to Goodison Park over the summer having earlier joined the Club twice on loan.
Sir Alex Ferguson expects to hand new signing Robin van Persie a run-out for the visitors, though the Red Devils boss will have to make do without defensive trio Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans.
