Yobo Exit Talks Confirmed
Everton in talks with Fenerbahce over permanent deal for Yobo.
Everton have confirmed they are in advanced discussions with Fenerbahce regarding the transfer of Joseph Yobo.
The Nigerian defender has been on loan at the Turkish outfit for the past two seasons and the two clubs are currently discussing a permanent switch.
In his first season, the 2010/11 campaign, Yobo helped the Istanbul-based side win the league.
He briefly returned to Everton in the summer of 2011 while the two clubs discussed his future, with a second season-long loan ensuing.
Last term he played 42 times for Fenerbahce as they finished runners-up in the league and won the Turkish Cup.
Yobo, whose Everton contract runs until 2014, joined the Blues in 2002, is Nigeria's captain and has made over 250 appearances for the Toffees. He was David Moyes' first signing as Everton manager.
His last game for Everton was in May 2010 in a 0-0 draw at Stoke.
