The final of the Liverpool Senior Cup is expected to take place during pre-season ahead of the 2012/13 campaign.

Everton's reserves and Tranmere are set to compete for the trophy at Rovers' Prenton Park after sealing semi-final victories against Bootle FC and Prescot Cables respectively.
