England Must Wait For Neville
Skipper has no plans to ease up on playing, says Moyes.
Phil Neville
David Moyes has warned England they may need to patient if they wish to lure Phil Neville into Roy Hodgson's coaching set-up.
The 35-year-old skipper, who is contracted to Everton until 2013, has been linked with a role on Hodgson's staff since the West Brom boss took charge of the Three Lions on Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Neville helped out with England's Under-21 side ahead of a Euro 2013 qualifing game against Belgium.
But Moyes said: “I’ve always thought in time Phil would get involved in coaching.
“But I think Phil still sees himself as a player and I think Phil has played as well as anyone at Everton this year.
“Like us all he had a sticky start, but whether it be in midfield or full back he has always been consistent and reliable.
“At the moment he wants to play. He is such a good guy and knowledgeable and understands what it takes for players to win.
“If you go about your business as he does then you will be very well respected. From players, managers and coaches alike. And supporters.”
