Sylvain Distin insists Everton won't underestimate Wolves this weekend.
The Toffees' penultimate game of the season is against the already-relegated West Midlands outfit.
But despite being condemned to Championship football next term, the experienced Distin expects Sunday's opponents to come out fighting.
"They're not going to give up," he told evertontv. "In England no-one gives up, no matter the score, no matter the team, no matter the time of the season. It could be the last game and they've been relegated, teams will still fight."
Wolves' battling principles were illustrated last weekend when they came back from 4-1 down against Swansea to salvage a point.
"There's a lot of pride in English football and in the Premier League and we're going to see that," added Distin. "They're a strong squad and it's difficult for them because they've gone down. But for sure they're going to fight."
A win at Molineux would strengthen Everton's grip on seventh place in the Premier League, ahead of rivals Liverpool.
"That was our target," continued Distin. "It was really important to have a good reaction after the semi-final and I think we've proved that we remain focused on the Premier League."
