Pressure on Man Utd this weekend, says Everton legend.
Everton legend Graeme Sharp says all the pressure will be on Manchester United when Everton travel to Old Trafford on Sunday.
The champions currently boast a five-point cushion over neighbours Manchester City in their bid to regain the Premier League crown but Everton will be hoping to put a dent in that and bounce back from last weekend's agonising Wembley defeat to Liverpool.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men had looked to have all but sewn up the title when they opened up an eight-point gap earlier this month but last week's 1-0 defeat at Wigan has once again cast doubts over where the trophy is heading.
"Nobody would've looked at the Wigan game last week and expected United to get beat there, so the pressure is on them," Sharp told evertontv. "Their neighbours are breathing down their necks, so United will be looking at the fixtures and thinking 'we need to pick up points'. And this is a massive game for them on that list.
"Over the years, I'd say there's probably been better Manchester United teams, so I think if we go out there and be positive enough we might just pull off a shock.
"Because I think United will be favourites. But we've raised our game against the bigger teams this season and hopefully we'll be able to do that again this weekend."
In the above video, Sharp also explains why Everton have the characters to move on from Saturday's FA Cup disappointment, how Darron Gibson has been good for Marouane Fellaini and why the Blues will be desperate to ensure their league form doesn't waver with five games to go.
