Blues’ Under-10s In Euro Cup
Young Toffees bow out in quarter-finals of Mundialito 2012.
Everton's Under-10 side impressed in a prestigious tournament in Portugal and Spain.
The young Blues competed in Mundialito 2012 and progressed to the last eight in style.
The annual tournament is held in the two Iberian nations and the the Young Blues have aclimatised brilliantly.
The Toffees ran out 9-0 winners in their opening game against Spanish hosts CD Canela.
That was followed by Monday's 7-1 victory over CDF Talhos Nova Era and a 4-1 triumph against Olimpico Cadiz on Wednesday.
With the group already won with a round of fixtures still to play, the Blues still gave it their all in an 8-1 rout of Club America of Mexico later that day.
Drawn against CD Verdeluz in the last 32 as the knockout rounds began, they produced another emphatic scoreline - defeating the Spaniards 14-0 early on Thursday.
Awaiting in the knockout stages were holders Seville - out to retain the trophy for a third successive year. The champions were edged out by the Toffees in a 4-3 thriller.
The Blues then faced Barcelona in the quarter-finals on Friday, where they were ultimately outdone by the Spanish giants.
Clubs from Brazil, USA, China and Europe all feature in the tournament that first took place in 2001.
