Performance Delights Moyes
Moyes delighted as players execute his gameplan.
David Moyes paid tribute to his players after the win at Swansea.
The manager had set out a specific gameplan to deal with the Swans' passing style and was rewarded with a 2-0 win.
Afterwards he praised his players for the way they had acquitted themselves in the match.
"It is fantastic," he beamed. "I have seen some really good sides come here and struggle to win, from my point of view it was thoroughly deserved.
"And the players played really well today."
Everton denied Swansea space to play throughout and gradually grew into the match. By the second half they were the better side and could have won by more.
"Swansea had a bit of possession but not as much as in other games," reflected the Blues boss. "We were excellent without the ball in the first half.
"We carved out numerous opportunities in the second half to win the game much more comfortably."
Moyes drafted Phil Neville and Phil Jagielka into his starting XI and was rewarded with two top performances.
The ever-busy Steven Pienaar also impressed his boss.
"The players got their performances spot on, they are playing really well at the moment," continued Moyes.
"I thought Phil Jagielka was terrific today, he showed why he is an England centre-half and should go to the Euros - because he can do a bit of everything.
"Steven Pienaar probably set three chances up which we missed when we should have scored. Phil Neville played great in midfield as well."
