David Moyes was left rueful after a night of frustration against Arsenal.

The Blues suffered a 1-0 reverse at Goodison. But it may have been a different story had an an offside flag not denied Royston Drenthe a first-half goal.

That strike would have restored parity after Everton went down to Thomas Vermaelen's eighth minute header.

But in the end the Blues couldn't find an equaliser and lost out 1-0.

Moyes said after the game: "Apart from the first 20 minutes I thought we played as well as Arsenal and were really unlucky not to take something from the game.

"There were five decisions which were onside, I wouldn't just come up here and say it, I have checked. It was a goal.

"We have had a sore deal the last few games, we have had really poor decisions in the games against us. It cost us in the end."

Moyes couldn't fault the efforts of his players after their early setback and he also admitted how impressed he was with the in-form visitors.

"The players played really well after that, they gave it a right go," continued the Blues boss.

"Arsenal, in the first 20 minutes, I thought my goodness, at seeing how well they were doing."

Alec WalkerD.M. is right, how many points have refs and linesmen cost us this season? What was all that about respect!!!!!
