Forshaw Set For Bees Loan
Midfielder to join Bidwell at League One Brentford.
Adam Forshaw
Midfielder Adam Forshaw is poised to join Brentford on a month’s loan.
The 20-year-old has been in good form for the Club’s reserve side this season and has also made the first-team bench.
Now, pending the completion of paperwork, he will head to Griffin Park in search of some precious senior experience.
Forshaw’s fellow Blues Academy graduate, Jake Bidwell, has enjoyed a successful loan stint with Uwe Rosler’s League One Bees and Forshaw will join him at the club until March 20.
Reserve team boss Alan Stubbs has been full of praise for the way Forshaw has performed in recent weeks and he was again a top performer in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool in the mini derby.
Stubbs is now keen to see him reap the benefits of exposure to senior football, as so many of his peers have this term.
The reserve team boss said: “Adam has done really well for us lately. It'll be great for him to go out and he deserves the chance to show what he can do. If there's one lad in the team I wanted to try and get out on loan it was Adam.”
As well as Bidwell, Luke Garbutt (Cheltenham), Jose Baxter and James Wallace (both Tranmere), Aristote Nsiala (Accrington), Joao Silva (Vitoria Setubal) and Shane Duffy (Scunthorpe) have all benefitted from loan spells away from Goodison this term.
