We Must Do Better

Moyes says good results are needed to lift mood.

David Moyes admits he understands the frustration felt by Everton fans and says his side must improve.

But the Scot stressed the blame for the Club's diffident form this season lies solely with him and the players.

Everton’s standards at Goodison, in particular, have fallen below the expected level, but with two massive home games in the space of five days, Moyes knows a couple of good results could make all the difference.

Moyes said: "I can understand them [the fans] being frustrated because of how we're playing.

“But the only negativity there is at the moment is because of how the team plays. We've not played well enough. It's nothing to do with the board of directors, it's nothing to do with the chairman, it's to do with me and the team - we've got to play better on the pitch.

"The team plays better, it lifts all the mood. We need to perform better, we need to win more often, and if we do that it changes everything.

“Winning football games is always the answer, so I'll take responsibility for that."
