Blues Make Wakefield Visit

Sharpy and Snods visit supporters club.

Blues Make Wakefield Visit

Everton Football Cub was out and about on the road again with another Supporters’ Club visit.

Following on from the successful Ellesmere Port visit on 18 October, this time the Blues were guests of the Wakefield Supporters’ Club at the Duke of Wellington Public House.

Media and Publications manager Darren Griffiths, who MC’d the visit, was joined by Everton in the Community’s Henry Mooney and Blues legends Graeme Sharp and Ian Snodin.

After a Q&A session hosted by Darren, which covered issues of investment and team selection, Henry gave a brief outline of Community activities, but the regaling of the glory days of Everton’s most successful period from the two legends was the highlight of the evening.

Everton’s leading post-war goalscorer was also on hand for a signing session and both he and Snods posed for pictures with members of the Supporters’ Clubs. What then followed was an Everton-related quiz and a raffle, with the winners receiving a signed ball and shirt respectively.

With more visits planned throughout the season - Lancaster and Morecombe are next up later this month - Everton will be looking to create as happy and as productive an atmosphere as what was enjoyed at Wakefield.
