'Blues Attractive To Investors'
Moyes says Everton are an appealing opportunity.
David Moyes believes Everton represents a terrific opportunity for anyone looking to invest in a Premier League club.
Chairman Bill Kenwright has made no secret of his desire to sell the Goodison Park outfit and newspaper reports this week have again linked the Blues with overseas investors.
That news was not surprising to Moyes, who feels the Club should be viewed as an extremely appealing proposition.
He said: “Anybody who knows anything about football would pick Everton – because of the history, its terrific fanbase and in truth (we are) not too far from the summit of the league and have been very close.
“So I think it is a good investment – business people may tell you other things because of the stadium or debt - but me as a football man, I think it is a great club.”
Moyes added: “The Chairman has said for a long, long time he has been trying to sell the Club and he has been telling me that as well so I have no reason to think any different.
“I think he has got a few people who are interested in buying the Club at the moment. Whether anything comes of it or not I couldn’t tell you. I think it would be what the Chairman wants but he will only sell it to the people he thinks are right for Everton.
“I wouldn’t expect him to do anything if it wasn’t for the benefit of the Club.”
