Three Everton stars joined legend Graeme Sharp at a supporters' evening on Monday evening.

Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and Tim Cahill headed to O'Neal's pub in Philadelphia where close to 100 Evertonians had assembled to meet their heroes.

First, Graeme Sharp held a Q and A with fans, answering questions on both his playing career and the current Blues squad.

When the three current first-teamers arrived they were afforded a rapturous ovation and spoke openly when responding to questions from the floor.

There was also time for anyone who attended to get a signed photo and have their photo taken with Sharpy and the players.

Sharpy told evertontv: "There are Evertonians all over the world and it's always nice to meet with them wherever they are.

"Fair play to the lads for coming along after a particularly hard day's training - they know what the Club means to the fans and credit to them.

"They are fine ambassadors for the Club and at the end of the evening everyone enjoyed themselves."

Jack SmithGreat result against DC...am feeling that the upcoming season for us at EFC is going to take off, I like Maguye, young and talented, Bily is coming on really great and looks comparable to Arteta in midfield, silky smooth and purring on all four cylinders, Distin is a rock in defence with Jags and Neville, Beckford is good but needs to have a confidence boost in attack, the lad tries too hard to do the business, him and Osman feeding him can crack defences but they have to work together, but overall for the coming season I feel at least a top 5 position for us...cant wait for the season to kick of...Jacky

Jack SmithI am very tempted to compare Vellios with a young Italian player we had playing for us...Matterazi, remember him, he was a renegade wasnt he lol, but he matured with us and became a very good player for the Blues and became a great Italy International World cup player, I like this Vellios lad, 19yrs old but looks as strong as an Ox, big lad in defence and quick to, I think he will be a great asset and player for EFC, he deserves some 1st team games and should be given a chance to show his worth to the club...Jacky

Boston EvertoniansSounded like those who could make it to Philly had a great time. A great reward for your overseas fans who follow the Blues from afar.

Matthew DouglasDoes anyone know if there is going to be a similar type of event in Washington DC?

Tony HylandReally looking forward to a good preseason for all of the lads with an emphasis on bringing some of the young guys ( Magaye) etc. into the fold as an early tryout for them is not as risky and potentially very rewarding.
