Jake Hopes To Take Next Step
Youngster hopes to make impact for the reserves.
Jake Bidwell is aiming to nail down a regular place for Alan Stubb’s reserve team next term.
Last season's Under-18s skipper is the current Academy Player of the Season, and he says a regular start for the second string is the next step for him.
Bidwell led the Club to the National Academy League title in 2010/11, and has won praise from his coaches for his work ethic and leadership qualities.
The Blues youngster said: “All the lads here have got tremendous spirit and that comes out in the way we play. If you’ve got that then you have half a chance.
“The aim next year is to kick on and hold down a regular place in the reserve team and, if I keep working hard enough, then who knows after that?
“It was a great end to the season for me with winning the awards and obviously winning the league with the lads as well.
“It has been the biggest achievement for me personally so far but hopefully it is all just the start for me.”
