It was with great sadness that Everton learned of the passing of Pat Hickson.

Pat, the wife of Everton Giant Dave Hickson, passed away peacefully at home early on Thursday morning aged 77.

A nurse before retirement, Pat married Dave 25 years ago.

She regularly attended Club events alongside her husband, most recently joining Dave at the Everton Former Players Foundation 10th anniversary celebrations last week.

Everyone at Everton extends their sympathies and best wishes to Dave and the rest of the family at this sad time.

If you wish to leave a message for Dave and the family, please do so using the comments box below.

Adrian DaviesDave and Family I was honoured to sit with yourself and Pat at the Villa home game the last time I was home thanks to a certain Mr. Ian MacDonald. Dave, I know how much Pat meant to you and the Hickson family and please accept our deepest sympathy from all Evertonians in Australia. RIP Pat - we know how much you will be missed by all - especially by the big fella. Dave, our thoughts are with you and the family. Adie
