FIXTURE FOCUS: MANCHESTER UNITED
This season: 11 September 2010
Last Season: 20 February 2010 – Everton 3-1 Manchester United (Match report)
To mark the announcement of the 2010/11 Premier League fixtures yesterday, we reminded you what happened when our first home opponents, Wolves, visited lasted season.
Today, we continue our look at some of the most exciting matches of the coming campaign by reflecting on arguably the best game of the last one - the visit of Manchester United.
It's a day which will live long in the memory of Evertonians everywhere as, for the first time since April 2005, the Blues recorded a league win over Sir Alex Ferguson's side. What's more, they did it in style.

Trailing to Dimitar Berbatov's opener, the Blues equalised on 19 minutes when Diniyar Bilyaletdinov stunned Edwin van der Sar with a shot that bent inside his post from the edge of the box - a strike which would go on to be voted Everton's Goal of the Season.
Buoyed, David Moyes' men continued to frustrated the then-reigning champions until, with 20 minutes left on the clock and with the scores still level, the manager turned to youngster Dan Gosling. The young Devonian did very little to damage his reputation as a super-sub, steering Steven Pienaar's centre beyond the reach of the United goalkeeper just five minutes later.
And if that wasn't enough, Moyes worked his magic again! Throwing on Jack Rodwell for the final two minutes, the teenage midfielder repaid him by darting past Jonny Evans and firing a third into the bottom corner in injury time - sending Goodison Park into raptures in the process.
The celebrations that day are ones no fan would have wanted to miss. But who's to say they won't be repeated on 11 September? Bring it on.
