Coleman Stays At Seaside

Seamus Coleman's loan at Blackpool has been extended until the end of the season.

The young Irishman has been in splendid form for the Seasiders, scoring his first goal in English football earlier this month.

His arrival has boosted Blackpool as they target a late run to the play-offs - and Coleman is eligible to play in the end of season knockout if Ian Holloway's men make it.

Coleman has made six appearances for Blackpool as of Wednesday afternoon, and has only been on the losing side once.

Earlier this season the right-back made seven appearances for Everton including an impressive match saving cameo in the 2-2 draw with Spurs in December.

Before the loan extension was agreed Holloway said: “I will have to have a word with David Moyes about the young boy. His team is doing very well and hopefully he will leave him with us for first-team experience.

“It is doing him the world of good. He must have wondered what he had let himself in for when we were two down in our first game, but now he knows how good we are.”

Kieran GillLets hope he bags a few more goals and helps them keep some clean sheets so he can have a good experience and hopefully come back next season gets given his chance and plays at top form

barry delaneySeamus Coleman has undoubtedly a very bright future ahead of him. His loan should give him further experience which he can use to his advantage when he returns to Everton. His interventions during two games earlier this season persuaded many that he brings something extra to that right back berth. Next season, I would have thought he would be within the first team squad.

Christopher LloydHes got to be a starter for next season and offers so much more than neville. He's 21 not 17 and should be given his chance but i just can't see moyes dropping his captain.

simon hughesgood for the lad to get games under his belt and im sure he'll be challenging for a first team place come the start of next season but surely now would have been the perfect time to see what he could give us.He changed games twice this season and id rather have him coming off the bench than hibbo, especially in frustrating games against wolves and west ham
