Fan Centre Work Under Way at Everton Stadium

Work is under way to create the new Fan Centre at Everton Stadium.

The spacious new facility, located in the east corner of the south stand, is undergoing preliminary fit-out, as can be seen in our latest stadium video.

Meanwhile, external enhancements have seen the final brick facades fitted to the east stand, at the southern end. The northern section will be retro-fitted soon, when the exterior scaffold is removed.

The blue glass Kellen blocks that will also provide a feature in the fan plaza - by providing a ‘shimmering water’ effect within the existing dock walls - are taking shape.

The fan plaza has seen the welcome addition of new trees. The trees being planted will eventually grow to between 25m and 35m high, when mature, providing fans with shade in the summer and protection from coastal winds.

The clusters of trees, a mix of pines, alders and dawn redwoods – all nurtured at a nursery in Cheshire over the last two years - have been specifically chosen by Planit, lead Landscape Architects, for their wind resistance and tolerance to salt.

The greenery, which fosters increased biodiversity within the new stadium environment, will be added to in the coming months, along the southern edge of the stadium and in the north-east corner.

The installation of perforated barrel roof panels is set to re-commence in the east stand, where a series of edging panels have been fitted to complete the effect on the north-eastern corner.

And on the western wharf, where the external terrace is evolving, decorative paving has commenced on the western side of what will eventually be the reinstated dock channel.
