Poppy Shirts Raise Almost £19,000 At Auction

Evertonians across the globe have raised almost £19,000 in support of the Royal British Legion’s annual poppy appeal by bidding on signed, match worn shirts.

Our Men’s Senior Team players gave their royal blue home jerseys from November’s Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion, and their grey and blue third shirts from the away victory at Crystal Palace, to the initiative.

The match worn and match-issue shirts from Everton Women’s Barclays Women’s Super League match against Chelsea were also up for grabs.

Squad-signed shirts were listed too, and the total raised across the auctions was £18,934.

The money raised will go towards supporting the UK’s Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, and their families, all year round.

The Royal British Legion offer a wide range of initiatives, including befriending services for those who are isolated, help with finances and housing, and recovery programmes after injury and illness.

Everton is proud to have supported the annual appeal once again, with the Brighton match having been the Club’s annual Remembrance fixture.
