The Howard Kendall Award
Just days after the 25th anniversary of their famous triumph, the achievement of the 1984 FA Cup winning side has been recognised.
The prestigious Howard Kendall Award is handed to individuals or teams who have achieved excellence on behalf of the Club.
Previous winners include the Everton Ladies League Cup winning side and the 1987 title-winning side.
And now the side that defeated Watford to seal an FA Cup triumph in 1984 and kick-start a glorious in this Club's rich history has joined the list of recipients.
Joe Parkinson and Barry Horne, two men who know all about Cup triumph, handed the accolade to members of the 84 team.
Andy Gray - one of the hosts on the evening - netted in the Wembley final against Watford in 1984 and was joined by fellow goalscorer Graeme Sharp plus John Bailey, Trevor Steven, Derek Mountfield and Kevin Richardson from that famous side.
Mountfield told evertonfc.com: "It was a great achievement and there are so many great memories from that day - although I can't remember the game, just the celebrations!
"To be recognised for your achievements is always great and I can see a lot of echoes between this season and 1984 - and what it meant to the Club."
