How EitC Will Expand Its Mental Health Services Through Minds Pillar

Everton in the Community has recently launched a new strategy which sets out its five-year vision to 'build stronger communities, brighter futures'.

The new initiative 'Trinity Project' hosts three powerful pillars which will form the priorities and objectives of Everton's official charity over the next five years in Learns, Minds and Thrives.

Under the charity's Minds pillar, EitC's goal is to enhance community wellbeing through accessible support for individuals living with dementia and their carers, alongside high-quality mental health services to ensure everyone receives the help they need.

Across our communities in Liverpool, we are grappling with some of the highest levels of poor mental health in the UK, and mental health service users in this city are experiencing a lifespan that is tragically cut short by a staggering 20 years compared to the rest of the country. We are striving towards a future where mental health is prioritised, support is high-quality and accessible, and people can be supported to reach their goals.

These alarming statistics serve as a rallying call for us to take urgent action, to significantly improve the quality of life for people living with dementia, and their carers, through a range of innovative interventions.
