Pickford Nominated For Save Of The Month

Jordan Pickford has been nominated for the Premier League’s Castrol Save of the Month award for September.

It's the second successive month the Everton keeper has been selected for the award. His incredible stop from a Neto free-kick against Wolves was nominated in August, and this time it's the 29-year-old's double save in the 2-2 draw at Sheffield United early last month that has been chosen.

Pickford brilliantly palmed Ollie McBurnie's header from a corner onto the crossbar in the 99th minute of the match at Bramall Lane, before keeping out a follow-up effort from the Sheffield United striker at close range, helping secure a crucial point for the Blues.

Pickford's stop joins a shortlist of five other impressive saves from Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario, Manchester City's Ederson, Arsenal's David Raya, Chelsea's Robert Sánchez and Liverpool's Alisson Becker.
