Everton Fan Advisory Board Appoints New Chair

The Everton Fan Advisory Board (FAB) has confirmed Dave Kelly as its new chairperson.

Kelly had been interim chair since Jazz Bal stepped down from the panel earlier this month but has now been appointed on a permanent basis following an extraordinary meeting of the FAB.

Tony Sampson, the FAB representative for international supporters’ clubs and former chair of Everton’s Fans’ Forum, has been named as vice chair.

Both were elected unanimously following a vote of all FAB members.

It has also been confirmed that the FAB’s vacant seat will be filled by Scott McAllister as the candidate who received the highest number of votes in this summer’s FAB election without being elected to the panel. McAllister finished third in the poll, with 14.1% of the vote.

Kelly, a prominent figure in establishing the Fans’ Supporting Foodbanks initiative and a member and former chair of the Everton Shareholders’ Association Executive Committee, was one of the founding members of the FAB, having been elected in the augural fan vote in June 2022.

Everton Football Club wishes to congratulate both Dave and Tony on their appointments and welcomes Scott to the FAB. The next quarterly meeting between the Club and the FAB will take place in November.
