Bernard reveals the pre-match ritual he has adopted since arriving at Everton in Wednesday’s Liverpool Echo

The Brazil international discusses how he has taken to ensuring he is always the last player to hand in his warm-up top to kitmen Jimmy Martin and Tony Sage ahead of each match, before embracing the pair and seeking their last-minute words of encouragement.

Bernard also explains how his former Atletico Mineiro teammate Jo provided a ringing endorsement of Everton before his move to Goodison Park last summer, the striker who had two loan spells with Toffees in 2009 and 2010, telling him, “the Club was an excellent and great club with an extraordinary structure.”

Also in the Echo, Everton’s Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Richard Kenyon gives the latest update on the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium project, saying the Club is carrying out extensive consultation work to ensure the stadium is “absolutely right and it's what our fans will want".

Elsewhere, reports in Turkey and Nigeria claim Bayern Munich are eyeing Henry Onyekuru as they seek replacements for the outgoing duo of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, the Everton forward having caught the eye by scoring 14 goals on loan at Galatasaray this season.

Finally, the Daily Star has become the latest paper to claim Norwich City’s promotion to the Premier League will see the Blues pocket £1million as part of the deal that saw Steven Naismith leave Goodison for Carrow Road in 2016.
