"For a club like Everton, we always have to aim to play European competition,” Silva said.

The Liverpool Echo carries quotes from Seamus Coleman, who revealed he is eager for Everton to sign centre-back Kurt Zouma on a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old has impressed since joining the Toffees on a season-long loan from Chelsea last summer.
“I just told Kurt I’ve got a contract for him in my bag and will he sign it!” Coleman joked after the Frenchman helped Everton record a seventh clean sheet in nine Premier League matches in Saturday’s scoreless draw at Crystal Palace.
The Echo also reports on the vigil held in memory of young Evertonian Alfie Evans at Goodison Park on Sunday night.
Goodison was illuminated in blue and purple as the Club marked one year since Alfie passed away. Alfie’s parents Tom and Kate, along with members of their family, held the service at the Dixie Dean statue.
