Everton will remember the 96 Liverpool supporters who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster 30 years ago this week in the Club’s matchday programme for the visit of Manchester United.
Phil Jagielka features on the cover, with the Everton Club captain pictured at the Hillsborough memorial monument in Liverpool city centre.
In his programme notes, manager Marco Silva stresses how “in our minds and in our hearts” Everton will never forget those who died attending their club's FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on 15 April 1989.
Jordan Pickford features as the main interview in the programme. The Everton and England goalkeeper discusses fatherhood, the increased attention on his form, and the real reason for his boyhood nickname in an insightful and wide-ranging piece.
Toffees striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, meanwhile, explains his belief he can develop into a leading Premier League striker.
