Everton Ladies are now accepting applications for players to trial for our Under-20s Academy squad.
We are keen to hear from elite female players aged 16-20 who have aspirations of playing for Everton Ladies first team.
The FA WSL Academy League is an FA initiative to support players in the elite player pathway making the step from U16s RTC/Academy football into our Everton Ladies first team, bridging the gap with our 16-20s Academy programme.
The Under 20s Academy will ensure that all players continue to develop their football as well as continuing with their education to ensure that players have a dual career pathway. The Academy is aimed to prepare girls for the next step in their football journey, and provide them with the opportunity to fulfil their potential technically, physically, psychologically and socially, while ensuring they also commit to education or work-related training programme.
Players within the Under 20s Academy Programme will participate in the FA WSL Academy League with national fixtures against other WSL teams. Games will take place on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Players will be required to commit to around 10 hours of weekly contact time. They will receive an extensive individualised coaching programme, weekly strength and conditioning provision, medical, education, lifestyle and wellbeing support, to help players manage the demands of maintaining a dual career.
Players must meet at least one of the following criteria to trial:
1. Have played U16s football at an FA Regional Talent Club or similar elite level.
2. Have played at international youth level from U15s upwards.
Players who meet the above criteria must also live within 90 mins of L26 3UE.
To be part of the FA WSL Academy Programme, players must also be in further or higher education, or in an employment-related training programme for September 2019.
Please complete all of the information in the application below.
Deadline for applications to trial for next season close on 25 April 2019.
