Thursday's Daily Star includes quotes from former Everton striker Andy Gray, who has given his verdict on current Blues centre-forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

England Under-21 star Calvert-Lewin, claims Gray, "has a fantastic work ethic... and is a talent".

Scotsman Gray, a title winner with Everton in 1985, tips Calvert-Lewin to continue his rapid development, adding, "He has the ability to run the channels, work hard and play for this team".

The Irish Independent features Republic boss Mick McCarthy praising Seamus Coleman and confessing Wolves wing-back Matt Doherty will have to wait for the Everton man to be unavailable if he is to claim the international team's right-back spot.

The same publication reports on Coleman making a "second significant donation" to the rehabilitation fund for Sean Cox, the Liverpool supporter injured in an attack by Roma supporters before a Champions League game last season.

Everton winger Yannick Bolaise is tipped to return to the Premier League when his loan with Anderlecht finishes at the end of the season.

Former West Bromwich Albion right-back Sebastian Pocognoli is currently in the Belgian top flight with Standard Liege and he told DH he is "convinced" Bolasie will be performing in England's elite division next term.

Everton forward Cenk Tosun is broadly quoted admitting he "has a lot to do in the Premier League".
