Five Everton Players In England Under-21 Squad

Five Everton players have been named in the England Under-21 squad for their upcoming friendly internationals against Poland and Germany.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, Jonjoe Kenny, Ademola Lookman and Kieran Dowell have been called up by boss Aidy Boothroyd as his team continue their build up to this summer’s European Under-21 Championship in Italy and San Marino.

England will take on Poland at Ashton Gate on Thursday 22 March, before Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium hosts the young Lions’ clash with Germany on Tuesday March 26 (both matches kick off at 7.45pm).

Everton Under-23s defender Lewis Gibson, meanwhile, has been named in the England Under-19 squad for their UEFA European U19 Championship Elite Round triple-header.

England have been drawn in an Elite Round group with Czech Republic, Greece and Denmark. They will face each side once, with the winner of the group qualifying for this summer’s UEFA European U19 Championship in Armenia.

England take on Czech Republic on Wednesday 20 March, Greece on Saturday 23 March and Denmark on Tuesday 26 March. Each match will take place at St George’s Park and will kick off at 2pm.

Gibson’s Everton Under-23s teammate, Anthony Gordon, has been named in the England Under-18 party that will travel to the Middle East for the UAE Sport Chain Cup.

England will take on Japan on Wednesday 20 March (4pm), before facing Czech Republic on Friday 22 March (4pm). Their final game is on Sunday 24 March against Mexico (1.30pm). All of the matches will take place at Dubai Sports City.
