Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale is quoted in Wednesday’s Liverpool Echo, with the Everton CEO explaining why the Club’s proposed new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock “will be a new Fourth Grace on the Liverpool waterfront".

Speaking to international business leaders at a property convention in Cannes, France, Professor Barrett-Baxendale added the stadium will reflect the “maritime heritage” of the city.

Michael Ball’s column also features in the local read, with the former Blues defender stressing the importance of Everton getting off to a “fast start” against Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Everton Under-23s boss David Unsworth, meanwhile, praises the progression made by 18-year-old winger Anthony Gordon.

The Academy graduate signed his first his first professional deal with the Club last week.

“Anthony’s performances have been fantastic for us,” Unsworth said. “He's a great lad and we're delighted to have got his signature on a contract.  He's got a bright future."
