Thursday’s Liverpool Echo
features Everton Academy graduates Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny, who have spoken of how they deal with the pressure of playing at the highest level.
“It doesn't matter about your age. It is your ability and character that matter,” said Kenny in an interview first given to Everton's official matchday programme.
"It helps when you have experienced players around you, Bainesy [Leighton Baines], Seamus [Coleman] and Jags [Phil Jagielka], they can all help guide you through.”
Davies added the pair are eager to develop into leaders within the squad.
"When we are in the dressing room, we know how it should be,” he said. “It is just a case of growing into that role. And I think we're both finding it [leading] is something we can do."
The Echo also reports the Blues will not consider selling defender Mason Holgate this summer.
The centre-back has been in impressive form on loan at West Bromwich Albion, sparking speculation the Championship club are eager to sign him on a permanent deal.
