Everton are linked with a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi in Wednesday’s Daily Star.

The Blues are said to be unable to make a loan bid for Chelsea’s Belgium striker due to Premier League rules, having already taken Kurt Zouma on a temporary arrangement from the Stamford Bridge club, and could therefore wait until the summer to sign him permanently.

Marco Silva has revealed Leighton Baines will need to be monitored ahead of the Toffees’ clash with Wolves at Goodison Park on Saturday, telling the Liverpool Echo it was a rib injury that forced the left-back off in the second half of his side’s 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town.

The Everton boss also features in the Daily Mail on rumours there have been further bids for midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye, with the Daily Mirror and the Guardian suggesting Premier League rivals Manchester City and Arsenal are mulling over moves for the Senegal man.

Meanwhile, the Echo also assess the performance of striker Cenk Tosun after he impressed against the Terriers on Tuesday night.
