Marco Silva features in Friday’s Liverpool Echo, with the Everton boss explaining his ambition to embark on a strong run in the FA Cup.

“There is a demand from the fans to do well in the cup,” he said.

“Their desire is the same as our desire inside. They go to support us in fantastic numbers.

“What they want is what we want but we have to prove it on the pitch.”

The Daily Mail suggests Crystal Palace are eyeing a loan move for Cenk Tosun, while the Daily Mirror reports the Eagles may be interested in a temporary deal for winger Yannick Bolasie.

The Guardian, meanwhile, reflects on Andre Gomes’ charity hug-a-thon, which raised more than £2,000 for Everton in the Community’s mental health fundraising campaign, the People’s Place

The Goodison Park event saw more than 200 Evertonians have the chance to meet, and hug, the Blues midfielder.

Gomes’ efforts helped the charity reach £100,000 of its overall £1million fundraising target to develop and build a purpose-built mental health facility in Liverpool 4.
