Thursday’s Liverpool Echo
reports on Everton’s rise to its highest-ever position in the Deloitte Football Money League, with the Club moving up to 17th in the rankings.
The Deloitte Football Money League analyses the highest revenue-generating football clubs in the world and is based on financial figures for the 2017-18 season.
The Club generated record revenue of £188.6m last season, with a growth rate of 10% on the previous year.
The Echo carries quotes from Blues boss Marco Silva, with the Portuguese praising striker Dominic Calvert Lewin’s all-round attributes as well as his “openness to learn”.
“He is good when he has to keep the ball and after he is a player who is strong in the box and can finalise the actions,” Silva said.
“He is not just a player to attack from deep or run in behind the opponents’ backline. He is really strong in the box. In the air, also.”
The local read also suggests Everton may be interested in signing Atalanta centre-back Gianluca Mancini. The 22-year-old has represented Italy at Under-21 level.
