Michael Keane features across Wednesday’s local and national newspapers, with the Blues defender revealing the backing he received from Everton chairman Bill Kenwright last season.
The in-form centre-back, whose fine start to the season has seen him recalled the England squad, says Kenwright’s support helped give him the confidence he could return to his best form.
“Bill told me how much he believed me, to keep working hard and that he had faith that I could become one of the greats from the Club,” Keane said.
“To have that support from the chairman when things weren’t going so well - for him to have so much faith in me - I can’t thank him enough for that.”
The Liverpool Echo carries quotes from Everton forward Richarlison, who vows to continue giving his all every time he pulls on a blue shirt – no matter what position he is selected in.
“I will play wherever the coach needs me and do my best for the team,” he said.
“I am doing what he is asking from me, which is to produce goals and play the way he wants. And I will carry on working hard up front.”
