What The Papers Say - October 26

Friday’s Liverpool Echo carries quotes from Seamus Coleman, who declares Jonjoe Kenny has the talent and attitude “to be an Everton right-back for 10 years”.

Coleman also reveals summer signing Yerry Mina “has really taken to the Club”.

“He is mixing with the lads and is a great fella,” the Irishman added. “On the training pitch he is a different man, he is aggressive and wants to win everything.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin features in the Daily Star, with the Everton forward setting out his determination to win a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

“If I can keep hitting the back of the net then I can’t see why that opportunity would not arise,” he said. “There has never been a better time to be a young England player.”

The Daily Telegraph includes an interview with Tom Davies. The midfielder explains how speaking to uncle and former Toffees player Alan Whittle – a league title winner with the Blues in 1970 – “makes him want to win something at Everton even more”.
