Richarlison Earns First Brazil Call-Up

Everton forward Richarlison has been handed a first senior call-up by Brazil for their friendly matches against the USA and El Salvador next month.

The 21-year-old, who signed for the Blues from Watford this summer, has been rewarded after kicking off his Toffees career with three goals in three Premier League games.

Richarlison netted twice in a 2-2 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers on his Everton debut, before following that up with a goal in a 2-1 win over Southampton at Goodison Park.

The forward – who has won 10 caps for his country at Under-20 level – replaces Pedro in Brazil’s squad after the Fluminense striker suffered an injury while playing for his club against Cruzeiro on Sunday.

Brazil face USA in New Jersey on Saturday, September 8, before taking on El Salvador in Washington four days later on Wednesday, September 12.

Should Richarlison feature for his country, he would become the first Everton player to represent the five-time world champions.
