Thursday’s Liverpool Echo carries quotes from Marco Silva, who explained Richarlison “will give Everton different options” as he backed the 21-year-old to have positive impact.

Richarlison made his debut in the Blues’ friendly at Blackburn Rovers on Thursday and speaking after the game, Silva said: “He’s settled in over these first two days. I know him very well. He’s one more player to improve our squad and to create competition is important for me.

“He’s a different winger to what we have, he can give us different options. We need to support him but he’ll have a good impact on our squad.”

The Daily Star, meanwhile, continues to link the Blues with a move for Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina.

The paper reports Manchester United are also interested in the 25-year-old, who scored three goals for Colombia at this summer’s World Cup.
