The Daily Express continues to link Everton with a move for Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina.

The Colombia defender scored three goals for his country at this summer’s World Cup.

The Daily Mirror, meanwhile, speculates Brazilian winger Bernard could be a potential transfer target for the Blues.

The 25-year-old, who has won 14 caps for his country, is available on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Mason Holgate is quoted in the Liverpool Echo, with the defender explaining how Marco Silva’s training sessions have got him feeling “strong and sharp” ahead of the new season.

The 21-year-old hailed the manager’s “football-based fitness” sessions and added “everyone’s touches are back and we’re looking good, I think when Wolves comes in the first game of the season we’ll be ready for it.”

Tim Cahill’s retirement from international football also features in the Echo and the national papers.

The Everton icon is Australia’s record goalscorer, having hit 50 goals in 107 appearances for the Socceroos.
