Garbutt Joins Oxford United On Season-Long Loan

Everton defender Luke Garbutt will spend the 2018/19 campaign with Oxford United after agreeing a season-long loan move to the League One club.

The former England Under-21 left-back has played 12 first-team games for the Blues after moving from Leeds United aged 16 in 2009.

Garbutt spent the 2015/16 season on loan in the Championship with Fulham where he made 26 appearances and scored one goal.

The 25-year-old started the following campaign at Wigan Athletic and featured eight times in a four-month stay at the DW Stadium.

Karl Robinson’s Oxford finished just four points shy of the play-off places in eighth spot last term and will start the new season with a match at Barnsley on Saturday, August 4.
