The Sunday Mirror speculates that Everton are interested in signing English midfield duo Jack Wilshere and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Wilshere has announced that he will leave Arsenal when his contract expires on July 1, after 17 years with the club. Wilshere, 26, has made 197 appearances for the Gunners and won 34 caps for England.

Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek, who is currently on World Cup duty with the Three Lions, spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace. The 22-year-old made 25 appearances and scored two goals for Roy Hodgson’s side.

Jordan Pickford, meanwhile, features in the Liverpool Echo. The goalkeeper, who is set to line up for England in their World Cup clash against Panama on Sunday afternoon, has revealed how his move to Everton has been key to his improvement.

“I moved away from home to join Everton so it was a big change, but a good change,” he said. “Every game you play, the more mature you become and, moving from home, you have to be mature and be yourself. I think it all helps make you more rounded as a person.

“On the pitch, for me, it’s now about getting more games and more maturity – it’s about game management."
