Ramiro Funes Mori has signed for Spanish side Villarreal for an undisclosed fee.
The centre-back has penned a four-year deal to June 2022 with the club, who finished fifth in La Liga last season.
Funes Mori, an Argentina international, arrived at Everton from homeland club River Plate in September 2015.
The 27-year-old made his debut in a 3-1 home win over Chelsea later that same month and went on to make 67 appearances for the Blues, scoring five goals.
A serious knee problem saw Funes Mori miss much of the 2017/18 season. He returned to action against Swansea City in April and appeared in three further matches for the Club before the end of the campaign.
The defender was named in Argentina’s provisional World Cup squad in May but was not included in Jorge Sampaoli’s final 23 for the tournament in Russia.
