Thursday’s edition of the Daily Star carries quotes from former Everton midfielder Leon Osman on why he believes the Blues should pursue Yaya Toure.

The Ivorian is leaving Manchester City this summer and when Osman was asked on BBC 5 Live whether he would sign either Toure or fellow out-of-contract midfielder Jack Wilshere, the ex-Toffee picked the former.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mirror suggests Everton are in “advanced talks” with former Watford boss Marco Silva about the vacant managerial position at Goodison Park.

However, the Daily Express believes West Ham United will rival the Blues for the Portuguese’s signature.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail looks at the life and career of former Toffees full-back Ray Wilson, who sadly passed away on Wednesday, aged 83.
