Wayne Rooney’s future is debated in Thursday’s newspapers.

A plethora of clubs are rumoured to hold an interest in the Everton man, with the Daily Mail suggesting MLS said DC United are closing in on a £12.5million deal.

Elsewhere, the Birmingham Mail believe Wolves - who will play Premier League football next season after lifting the Championship trophy - hold an interest, while the Glasgow Evening Times suggests Steven Gerrard wants to take his old England teammate north of the border.

One potential incoming - according to the Liverpool Echo - is Manchester City stalwart Yaya Toure, after it was revealed the highly-decorated Ivorian will depart the Etihad stadium this summer.
