Today’s Liverpool Echo reports on Jordan Pickford’s triple award success at Tuesday night’s Dixies.

The Everton goalkeeper triumphed in the Young Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, and Player of the Season categories at the ceremony at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Idrissa Gana Gueye also features in the local read, with the paper highlighting the Senegalese’s outstanding tackling record this season.

The 28-year-old has made 113 successful challenges – only Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi has won more tackles in the Premier League.

The Daily Mirror, meanwhile, carries quotes from Tom Evans – the father of Alfie Evans, the young Evertonian boy who passed away last week after spending more than a year in hospital – after he was bestowed with the Chairman’s Blueblood Award at the Dixies.

After being presented with the award – which is given to individuals who “embody the Evertonian spirit" – Tom said: “We’ll always class Alfie as our blue warrior and I’d just like to thank Bill [Kenwright] for the award.”
