Jordan Pickford has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for April.
The Everton goalkeeper has been recognised for a string of impressive performances as the Blues remained unbeaten during the month and rose to eighth in the table.
Pickford – who signed for the Toffees from Sunderland last summer – kept three clean sheets in April. He recorded shutouts in the Merseyside derby stalemate against Liverpool and in victories over Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town.
Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew was the only man to find a way past the 24-year-old, his unstoppable strike in Everton’s 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium was the only goal Pickford conceded during the month.
Also in the running for the award are Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen, Jake Livermore of West Bromwich Albion, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
