Jordan Pickford saw off tough competition from the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jonjoe Kenny to land Everton’s Young Player of the Season prize at The Dixies on Tuesday night.
With the Club celebrating their End of Season Awards evening at the Philharmonic Hall, the 24-year-old was picked as the Blues’ best first-team youngster and was presented with his trophy by Leighton Baines and International Ambassador Steven Pienaar.
Pickford is one of only three Premier League players – alongside Bournemouth’s Asmir Begovic and Jack Cork of Burnley – to play every single top-flight minute so far this term, with the former Sunderland man reaching 3,240 minutes after his clean sheet against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Speaking after collecting his award, Pickford said: “All the young lads coming through this season have all settled in and done really well this year.
“I feel I have settled in well here since coming into the Club, it was a new environment, moving from home, the lads have been great with us and so have the fans so it’s been good.”
The Young Player of the Season Award was sponsored by Angry Birds.
