Evertonian Dan Harden has been named Fan of the Season at The Dixies.
The 26-year-old was up on stage to collect his award at the Philharmonic Hall from Blues duo Seamus Coleman and Theo Walcott.
A Season Ticket holder and regular both home and away watching the Blues, Dan has been volunteering for Everton in the Community since September 2010, helping out with the charity’s disability programmes and Pass on the Memories initiative.
He was recognised with the EITC Pass 4 Life Breakthrough Award in 2011 and has regularly taken part in Zip Line Challenges and Santa Dashes to raise vital funds for EITC.
“He has volunteered for Everton in the Community since September 2010 and has been involved in a number of different projects,” explained Dan’s father Marc Harden.
“At the moment, he is really enjoying working with Pass on the Memories, which helps people with dementia.
Dan has raised a lot of money as well through Zip Slides and Santa Dashes, and is involved in EITC’s disability projects. We just thought that he is an inspiration.
“This was a lovely surprise for him. But it is something he fully deserves – Dan is definitely the number one Blue!”
