Everton’s first-team squad have picked Jordan Pickford as their standout performer after the Blues goalkeeper scooped the Players’ Player of the Season award at The Dixies.
Having already claimed the Club’s Young Player of the Season accolade, the 24-year-old has also been recognised by his peers for an outstanding first campaign in Everton colours.
Pickford, who was handed his award by skipper Phil Jagielka and Wayne Rooney at the Philharmonic Hall, has been an ever-present in the Premier League since moving to Goodison Park from Sunderland in the summer, making 116 saves to put him third in the list of top-flight shot-stoppers.
Speaking to evertonfc.com after netting his second prize of the night, Pickford said: “It means a lot. I've worked very hard all through the season and to recognised in this way for my performances is a great honour.”
Everton’s Players’ Player of the Season Award was sponsored by J Hayward.
